As stated by Cerrone on Metsblog:
“SNY and the Village Pourhouse will be hosting a Mets Viewing Party tomorrow night, Wednesday, June 3.
According to SNY.TV, “Come out and watch the Mets with the best fans from around the New York area… Stop by to see the Bud Girls and get drink specials. Plus, meet Nooner host Brittany Umar and get free tickets and giveaways.”
The Village Pourhouse is between 3rd Ave. and 11 St. in Manhattan.”
The OH MURPH! entourage will be there tomorrow. Let us know if you plan to go!
Foley’s NY Pub and Restaurant has opened online voting for the 2009 inductee to the Irish American Baseball Hall of fame.
“The fan vote nominees are current Washington Nationals slugger Adam Dunn, along with four retired players: Yankee great and five-time World Series champion Paul O’Neill, and former Mets “Super Joe” McEwing, Al Leiter and Nolan Ryan, baseball’s all-time strikeout king. The fan vote winner will be announced in June and will be inducted into the Irish American Baseball Hall of Fame on Tuesday, July 7, 2009, along with several other honorees.”
Its seems that our Irish Captain, Daniel Murphy has been left off this list for reasons no man can understand. It seems that their poll is down right now, but lets all contact Foley’s (at foleysny@aol.com) and demand that young Daniel Murphy be added to the nominees!
