First Words: ”Dada will you ever gain control of your two-seamer?”

(San Diego) – The Mets welcomed back 2nd basemen and team diplomat Anderson Hernandez after a 12 month reconnaissance mission with the Washington Nationals ballclub. ”We’re happy to have Anderson back,” Mets COO Jeff Wilpon told reporters today. ”Thanks to his selfless work, we’ve learned a lot about how to be a losing organization.” When asked to elaborate on the nature of Hernandez’ findings, Wilpon explained, “You know, putting out a Triple-A lineup night after night, having no effective bats off the bench, managing fan expectations, life after Omar Minaya – that sort of thing. It’s been very helpful.”
Wilpon later added that he was looking forward to the return of Joe Smith, who is on a similar assignment in Cleveland.
