Last night, Phillies SP, Pedro Steven Martinez went 5 innings while only giving up 3 earned runs. Pretty solid for the 44 year old Martinez.
Should we have signed him? We’ll let’s take a look back at the last time the Mets had a pitcher go 5 Innings with 3 earned runs or less. Ok… actually, it was last night, Oliver Perez, so I’m not really sure what my point is.. I actually don’t think I have one. That’s all I got.

A brilliant thought provoking post, yet a sad commentary on our nation’s current healthcare system. A poor immigrent such as Mr. Martinez, toiling for the Man these many years, suddenly finds himself without a job due to conditions created by the previous administration and Bernie Madoff, his Cobra benefits expired, must now take the only work available in the armpit of America, just to get some healthcare benefits restored.
