<description>This is Howard Cosell, speaking of Sports.

And so it has come to this.

A team so mired in mediocrity that a website is created to honor its ineptitude.

MetsFail. Mets fail indeed. Conjoining contradictory terms you say? An oxymoron? Nay, rather, synonymous terms defining the essential root of each.

A franchise with a fanbase so patiently waiting to be teased again and again. Yes, there have been championship years, and contending years but far too many years of great players spending their carreers at levels of frustration heretofore unwitnessed by mankind.

Yet the fan returns. Despite the Bravado and idle threats, the long suffering long to suffer even more. And why you ask?

Why indeed.

Humankind identified as the special breed known as a Met fan has always joined together with a common bond of Hope and Faith as there was always a promise, a hint of support, a reason to believe.

But now our faith shattered our hopes washed away, we turn to embracing our short comings. In fact, we catalog and document every bumbling faux pas imaginable and we call it:

Metsfail.com.
